Pinoy Tambayan, Pinoy Channel and Pinoy TV streaming Websites Taken Down
The popular Pinoy Channel websites catering Filipino TV shows allegedly infringing copyright especially shows produced by ABS-CBN has been successfully taken down when ABS-CBN Corporation, ABS-CBN Film Productions, Inc. and ABS-CBN International filed a Complaint For Trademark And Copyright Infringement.
Sites like Pinoy-ako.info, phnoy.com, Pinoy Tambayan, and other related websites are now not accessible. The reason are, on August 7, 2014, in the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, ABS-CBN Corporation filed a complaint for Trademark And Copyright Infringement to the site owners JEFFREY ASHBY and LENIE ASHBY, some of their websites are; WEBPINOYTAMBAYAN.COM WATCHFILIPINOTV.COM WATCHFILIPINOMOVIES.COM PINOY-TVKOCOM, PINOYTVKO.BIZ PINOY-TUBE.COM MYPINOYTUBETV.COM PINOYTALAGA.COM PINOYSTREAMING.COM PINOYMOVIEFAN.COM PINOYTVEPISODES.NET PINOYTVEPISODES.INFO READ ALSO: How to watch Pinoy TV Shows Online The court also grants the request of ABS-CBN to take down all the websites posting their shows before the site owners knew that they were getting sued. This is why Pinoy-ako.info, phnoy.com and other Pinoy TV websites suddenly disappear. A few days after the takedown of websites allegedly infringing copyrights, similar sites appear which maybe the same admin or owners runs the site. Some of this site are; Pinoy-Ako.re which is almost similar to pinoy-ako.info, phnoy.org also the same to phnoy.com that already taken down. New domain also created like freepinoytvshows.net, pinaytambayan.org, pinoychannel.to, pinoytv.me, teleseryereplay.com and many more. They just change their domain name, duplicate or export the content of the old website and they are good to go. Even Google update their Pirate algorithm which aims to demote the websites with pirated content, all of these new websites I mention above outrank the old and genuine website like tfc.tv and iwantv.com.ph, the admin of this sites are very good in SEO (Search Engine Optimization). If you try to search on google the keyword "pinoy tv", "pinoy tambayan" and "pinoy channel" they are on the first, second, third and so on, until on the second page. Update: On October 28, 2014, the US court in Oregon ruled in favor of ABS-CBN and ordered Ashby to pay the network $10 million for damages resulting from his infringing the copyrights. Details here.
